The university may look a little different this fall, as the Ram community returns to campus. Let's take a look around. We want to ensure that we're doing all we can to keep the Ramily as safe as possible while on campus. Most buildings around campus will have a single entry and exit point. Where possible, stairways have been designated as either upstairs or downstairs. Everyone on campus will be required to wear cloth face cover. This includes faculty, staff, students, and visitors. Seating and classrooms have been reduced by 50% to allow for social distancing. Markers have been placed on seats to help students better navigate the proper places to sit and to ensure distance. Each classroom has a mobile plastic shield to be used at lecterns or tables, whichever fits the instructor style. Faculty, staff, and students will receive two branded WSSU masks. Faculty will also get a face shield for added protection. Disposable masks will be available also, just in case. Cleaning supplies will be placed in each classroom so that instructors and students can wipe down chairs and desks before class begins. We've also added extra time between classes to give the previous class time to clear out prior to the arrival of the next class. For more information, check out our reopening and recovery plan located on the Roadmap to Fall 2020 webpage on the WSSU website. We're all in this together. As Rams it's our responsibility to protect each other. So mask up, wash your hands, keep your distance. Together, we can beat COVID-19.
